The tabla master Rabin Lal Shrestha is renowned as one of Nepal’s leading figures in classical music and as one of the nation’s greatest performers, recording artists and educators. He has recorded numerous albums and has many musical awards under his belt. Shrestha worked as a music teacher in the Royal Palace and for over two decades, and has been a lecturer and head of department at Tribhuvan University Fine Arts Campus. He has toured in Europe, and has also served as an associate music lecturer at the University of Agder in Norway. Shrestha leads an ensemble of acclaimed Nepali classical musicians. Kiran Nepali is a third-generation Sarangi player from a long line of musicians, and is a member of the renowned folk band Kutumba. The vocalist Manmohan Thapaliya Sharma has had a distinguished career across Nepal and India, has trained under numerous renowned masters, and has performed at some of the most prestigious classical music events in India. Dhan Bahadur Gurung is a flutist and shehnai player trained under renowned Nepali and Indian masters. All three musicians are also distinguished teachers themselves, and have been decorated with numerous prestigious awards.
